Lech Lecha RugaLECHs
G-d commands Avram to “go from your land, from your birthplace, and from your father’s house to the land which I will show you.”
-
Avram and his wife, Sarai, and his nephew, Lot, all journey to the land of Canaan.
-
Rugalechs with toothpicks resemble the legs/shoes of Avram, Sarai, and Lot walking along to Canaan.
Lech-Lecha is the name of the Parsha and the dessert rugaLECHs have the similar sound of “lech.”
